On Saturday, I completed the Hyannis Sprint II Triathlon.
The night before, I was out to dinner with my family and I floated this idea to my sister, @OmGal.
For every person who beats me, I’ll donate $1 to CharityWater.org.
In July, I raced a similar tri, placing 129th and since I’m a bootstrapping entrepreneur, $100 would mean a lot to me.
Lucky for my wallet, I got faster.
I had a great race and placed 40th overall. So, I’m going to donate $40 to Charity: Water. It’s not much, but it will give 2 people clean water for 20 years!
I’m fortunate enough to drink about a gallon of water a day while I’m training (and shower after!), but there are literally a billion people who can’t get any clean drinking water.
It’s a great organization and I’m looking forward to giving up my birthday this year. You should, too…
Or just donate, right here, right now.
