I am a huge Kurt Vonnegut fan.
Dan knows this, and forwarded this article to me yesterday about a school in Missouri that banned Slaughterhouse-5 (one of Vonnegut’s most well-known works).
In turn, the Vonnegut Library announced that they would give any of the affected students a copy of the book for free. Amazing.
We have up to 150 books to share, thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor. We think it’s important for everyone to have their First Amendment rights. We’re not telling you to like the book… we just want you to read it and decide for yourself.
So brilliant. I bet the kids read it, too. And if you haven’t, you should.
